Swing Phi Swing Social Fellowship, Inc.® is committed to actualized change in the lives of our members and the communities we support and in which we live. As members, we have committed our lives to service in order to foster the positive growth and sustainability of the women, children, and communities we work alongside. African American Health
The goal of this initiative is to create awareness of the major health concerns and issues that disproportionately affect African-American women and heighten minority communities (i.e., Breast Cancer, Sickle Cell Anemia, HIV/AIDS, Diabetes). We accomplish this by being advocates for health education and increased access to health resources. Local chapters coordinate health education clinics and informational programs to include guest speakers and service groups.
Mentoring
This initiative is vital to the future of our nations youth. It is the goal of Swing Phi Swing to promote positive self-esteem, academic achievement, scholarship opportunities, and self-respect among young ladies. The mentoring program is designed to encourage and provide opportunities for them to become community leaders on relevant topics that affect youth. Expected outcomes include academic improvement, leadership development, and an increase in confidence in social skills and structured relationships.
Global Outreach & Optimism in the Diaspora (GOOD)
Supplies for Success
Swing uplifts and supports community collaborative strategies near and abroad to improve the social, political, educational, and health conditions of women, children, and people of color. We focus on women, children, and communities of color, creating collaborations to do GOOD by strengthening communities through empowerment, education, sponsorship, and support of causes and campaigns to create resources, and access to services.
This national initiative is to aid and equip students and teachers with the proper resources to produce a positive learning environment. We fulfill this objective by providing new and sustainable classroom supplies and materials essential to any learning experience. This initiative allows local chapters to continue expanding their resources and services to "promote higher intelligence" throughout their community elementary, middle, and high schools in need.
